Topical retinols are believed to help improve skin appearance and delay some of the signs of aging. Well, let’s face it whether we are 100 days old or 100 years old, we are aging a little every day. While I can’t speak to whether over the counter retinols slow signs of aging, I do find that my skin is softer and clearer when I regularly apply moisturizers containing vitamin A.

My Experience with Foxbrim Complete Anti-Aging Moisturizer:
I’ve been using Foxbrim Complete Anti-Aging Moisturizer every night for the past month. I find it a mild moisturizer, I did not experience any flaking, drying or skin irritation (like I usually do when adjusting to a new retinol). I do experience a little tingling after application, but that is typical for me when using retinols. The moisturizer is light and absorbs well without leaving an oily feeling. My skin feels soft after application.
The moisturizer comes in a sleek pump container. At first, I had a hard time getting it to dispense through the pump. Once I got it going, it has worked fine. One pump dispenses enough product for my face and neck.
Directions for Use:
1. Cleanse face and tone (if you do) and pat dry
2. Apply a small amount of Foxbrim Complete Anti-aging Moisturizer to entire face, neck and décolleté.
According to Foxbrim: this product can be used morning or night, can be worn under makeup. I used it in the evening for a few reasons. First of all, it is important to wear a good, broad spectrum sunscreen during the day. Also, my understanding is that if the concentration of retinal is high enough to be effective than it may also make your skin a little more sun sensitive.

Everybody’s skin is different. Sometimes when people start using a retinol, whether prescription or over-the-counter, they experience dryness, redness or flaking while their skin adjusts. This can be minimized if you start applying every third day, then move to alternate days before applying daily. I am not sure how likely the redness and flaking is with this product. It had been a while since I used a retinol (I used them daily but had stopped for the Summer) so I eased into daily use and had no issues. My impression is that the formulation is quite gentle.
