Everyone loves a brownie! I am no exception, so I set out to make a guilt-free, gluten-free brownie. The result is a dairy-free brownie containing popular super foods such as walnuts, almonds, coconut oil, and cacao nibs. Ripe bananas offer their natural sweetness and a moist texture.
I feel great after eating these brownies, I don’t get that feeling I sometimes get after indulging in a sugary treat. While rich in nutrition, these brownies are also rich in calories! Be sure and enjoy with moderation!

About Morning Pep Gluten-free Blanched Almond Flour!
Almost Morning introduced me to almond flour. I use it to make pancakes, cakes, and these brownies. I find that everything I make with this flour turns out very moist, but sometimes have trouble holding together. However, I rarely make pancakes so it could be my technique. The brownies turned out very well!
Almond Flour is a great source of dietary fiber, Vitamin E, protein, iron, magnesium, and calcium. The flour contains finely ground almonds. Morning Pep states that their Almond Flour is certified Kosher, Gluten Free, Non-GMO, and made in the USA with No additives or preservative.
I had one issue with the packaging of this Almond Flour. When I opened the Zip Lock bag for the first time one side tore off. So my bag is not actually resealable. I have been using a chip bag clip to hold the bag closed.
Morning Pep Almond Flour is available on Amazon in 2-pound and 5-pound bags. Click here to see the listing for the 5 pound bag or click here to see the listing for the two pound bag.
About Viva Labs Organic Cacao Powder and Organic Unsweetened Cacao Nibs.
Viva Labs sent several of their products including their Organic Raw Cacao Nibs and Organic Cacao Powder. I have been using both extensively. The nibs are unsweetened and smell like a very dark chocolate.
When ground into smoothies and this brownie mix along with something sweet and something creamy, the chocolatey flavor is revealed. Raw Cacao Nibs contain more of the anti-oxidants than regular dark chocolate. They are also rich in flavonoids, fatty acids, and minerals such as iron, calcium and magnesium.
According to Viva Labs, these Cacao Nibs are certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free and are free from unwanted pesticides and harmful impurities.
They are available from Amazon in one pound bags. Click here to visit the Amazon product listing for these Viva Labs Cacao Nibs.
Viva Labs Organic Cacao Powder is easy to use as it is much like regular cocoa. In addition to these brownies, I have used it to make mocha coffee drinks and smoothies. It has a delightful, rich chocolate flavor.
Viva Labs describes their Cacao Powder as “unrefined, Non-GMO and certified organic. Viva Labs Cacao Powder is unprocessed, retaining important nutrients like magnesium, calcium, iron, fiber and protein.”
Viva Labs Cacao Powder is available at Amazon in 1 pound bags. Click here to see the product listing for Viva Labs Organic Cacao Powder.
