On Red Apple Lipstick's Site

Look beautiful and feel fit at the same time! In our quest for healthier beauty products, Feeling Fit reviewed a lovely organic lipstick that happens to be a flattering red lipstick for fair skin (and also a range of other skin tones). Hollypeño is a classic, neutral red lipstick shade with a smooth, satin texture that wears well.

Look Beautiful And Feel Fit With Organic Red Lipstick

In Search of Healthier Cosmetics-Red Organic Lipstick from Red Apple LipsticksDisclosure: Feeling Fit received a complimentary product to make this review possible. Thank you!

It is a challenge to find the right red lip color for fair skin. But it is even more challenging to find a lipstick that you can feel good about wearing.

Red Apple Lipstick creates healthier organic, gluten free lipstick. Red Apple Lipstick offers a variety of organic red lipstick hues for every complexion. You can look beautiful and still feel fit wearing Red Apple Organic Lipstick.

I tried Hollypeño which is a gorgeous red lip color for fair skin. Judging from the photographs on the Red Apple website, this classic neutral shade works well for a range of complexions.

My Experience Wearing Hollypeño Red Lipstick

Hollypeño is creamy and satiny smooth with its application.  As it wears it stains your lips slightly and loses its original shine and slickness – leaving you with a nice lip color that’s more matte than glossy and has considerable lasting power. The color is buildable and can be layered with balms or glosses for a shinier, dewier look.

I love lipstick, but do not remember to reapply it often enough. Red Apple lipstick has nice staying power without that drying feeling that long wear lipsticks often cause.

I would describe Hollypeño as a bright, neutral red. It isn’t too overpoweringly bright for my fair skin tone, but it is lovely for a classic look.

I wore this red lipstick during a night out for sushi and a local screening of The Rocky Horror Picture show. The lighting below is outdoor, in natural light around 5:40 pm.

The color is strong and bright, but still soft enough for daily wear. The below photograph was taken outside in natural light on a sunny day around 2 pm.

Sam Wearing Hollypeno

After a couple weeks of frequent use the verdict is in. Red Apple Lipstick may be my new favorite brand of lipstick. Sorry, Mac! I need to try more shades of Red Apple before making that announcement, but it is definitely within my top five favorites.

The beautiful color, elegant texture, long-wear have won me over. Not only that, Red Apple Lipstick is lipstick I feel good about wearing as it is a healthier option, is cruelty-free, and made in the USA!

Hollypeño’s ingredients are a mix of minerals and organic plant based ingredients. They are lead-free, paraben-free and vegan-friendly (be sure and check the list for any specific colors that interest you).

I LOVE red lip stick, but I’m super picky about it. I was in a Rocky Horror troupe and that’s where I discover my love for it.

Love the fact that these are organic. I am not sure I could quite pull off red lipstick though.

I like the color Hollypeno but want to try another color. Red Apple Lipstick has more colors to choose from. I like their Back To The Fuchsia

hahaha the name is genius! I have never had the pants to wear a red lipstick! It looks great on you and knowing that someone with fair skin can rock it makes me wanna try it. I have never tried organiz/gluten free cosmetics either, which is interesting. One thing I look forward in lipstick is their smooth application and you mentioned that this one is so hmmm I may or may not look into wearing the Hollypeño!

Wow, didn’t know that lipsticks come gluten free, paraben free and even vegan free. I too have problems finding the correct shade of red as I have a medium complexion and not all reds are the same.
