Minimal sandals are a perfect compromise between the freedom of bare feet and the protection from shoes.
Sandals are not just for Summer! Yes, in the colder Winter months we need to keep our feet warm. However, depending on your climate you may still be able to wear active sandals inside or even for outdoor activity with socks.
I love shoes! Even so, I also love comfort and am at heart a barefoot girl. I wear shoes for fashion and to protect my feed out in the world. But at home, I usually am barefoot. I even workout barefoot sometimes. I probably shouldn’t admit it, but I find it easier to dance, do body weight training or even jump rope with bare feet. I would run barefoot if I were not concerned about broken glass, bees, pavement and other hazards in the outside world. Minimal sandals are a good compromise for me.
My Experience Wearing Shamma All-Browns Minimal Sandals:
Shamma All-Browns are extremely comfortable. The sandals arrive partially assembled and ready to adjust to your perfect fit. I had someone help adjust mine while I wore them. This resulted in a wonderful fit. I had not breaking in pains that sometimes happen with new shoes.
I tested my shoes by jumping, kicking, dancing and jogging around. My Shamma All-Browns remained securely on my foot throughout my crazy testing dance.
I also wore them throughout a casual weekend day. I did a lot of walking and noticed the sole is very flexible and allowed for ease of movement.
I sometimes do event work, the day before I tested my sandals I was on my feet for most of 15 hours at an event. My feet were very sore from standing on concrete wearing boots most of the previous day. These sandals were so comfortable my feet forgave me for the punishment I previously inflicted!
I should mention that minimum sandals do not provide much support. So if you are new to minimal sandals you will want to wear them for shorter periods and allow your feet to build up strength. Because I am usually barefoot at home and often dance or exercise barefoot my muscles are use to it.
The Shamma website contains relevant and helpful information. Sizing in particular is always a challenge when ordering online. I was not sure what size to order as my shoe size seems to vary from brand to brand. Shamma made it easy as they have printable guides to assist with sizing and I was able to find my perfect size! The sandals do come partially assembled and need to be adjusted. Shamma provides video tutorials that make it easy.
I also like that they are hand-crafted in the USA!
About Shamma All-Browns Minimal Sandals:
Shamma All-Browns are handcrafted sandals that securely strap to your feet. Whether you’re walking, hiking, or even running, our sandals are up to the task. A minimal, zero-drop design lets your feet move naturally, and almost feels like you’re barefoot. We start with the best materials – Vibram soling, top-quality lacing straps, and premium leather hides sourced within the USA. We take pride in our work, and we think you will notice.
Our sandals don’t try to mold your feet, instead they mold to your feet. They encourage the muscles in your feet to grow stronger. A thinner sole also means that you can feel the terrain and with that ground-feel, react to it in a natural way. The density and strength of our soles mean that you can stay in touch with the landscape without the pain of stepping on every rock and root. Protection, comfort, and quality.
Whether you’re out on the trail or shopping around town, the All-Browns have style. These sandals are sure to turn heads as you cruise around.
