Apothecary Extracts 4 ounce bottle of 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil |
Apothecary Extracts sent me a 4 fluid ounce bottle in exchange for a fair and honest review. They have also generously offered to sponsor a giveaway for one free 4 ounce bottle of their 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil! I will share giveaway details at the end of my review.
My initial impressions of Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil:
I know shouldn’t judge a book by the cover. But I do judge personal care products by the packaging. Attractive and appropriate packaging demonstrates an attention to quality and detail. Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil comes in a brown glass bottle. It looks a little like an old-time medicine bottle. I expect a dark colored bottle when I purchase essential oils to protect the oil from light exposure.
The scent is strong. If this were a perfume, cosmetic or lotion I would consider that a downside. However, Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil is a potent ingredient for a number of home-made personal care and cleaning products. You only use a small amount for each application. According to Apothecary Extracts, a 4 ounce bottle typically lasts at least one year with frequent use. The strong smell hints to the products potency and value for the dollar!

What Do You Do with Tea Tree Oil?
Whenever I consider an essential oil I ask myself, “how would I use this?” Apothecary Extracts provides a free eBook 50+ Uses for Tea Tree Oil with each order. This eBook includes recipes to make your own household and personal care products using Tea Tree oil. With permission from Apothecary Extracts, I tried a couple of the recipes and am reprinting one
-
- Old t-shirts, flannels or towels cut into 5×7 squares
- 1⁄2 cup White vinegar
- 8 drops Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil
- 4 drops lavender oil
- 2 drops lemon essential oil
Mix It: Place square cloths in the airtight container, stacked on each other. Pour vinegar into a large glass bowl and whisk in oils until blended. Pour mixture over the cloths until totally saturated and seal the container until time to use.
My Experience Using Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil
I cut up a pair of old cotton sweat pants to make these reusable dryer sheets. I found that my clothing smelled fresh just out of the dryer. I washed my workout T-shirts and they tend to generate a lot of static due to the moisture-wicking material. There seemed to be less static as my socks did not stick to them! I don’t think it eliminates static in the same way a commercial dryer sheet would. But I don’t buy dryer sheets as I feel like they involve unnecessary waste and expense. These reusable dryer sheets are a great alternative for someone like me.
