Del Sol Color Changing Nail Polish offers two shades in one polish. The polish changes color when exposed to sunlight! Del Sol is a five free polish and never tested on animals.

My Experience Using Del Sol Color Changing Nail Polish
I received a couple glittery hues of Del Sol Color Changing Polish. The shade worn in images in this post is After Party. After Party is a subtle light purple inside and a bright hot pink or fuchsia in day light. It doesn’t take much sun light. I have witnessed the color change on a brisk, cold November afternoon.

The colors are all lovely and Del Sol offers a variety of color options.
I like that Del Sol polish is 5-free so it is possibly healthier than some polishes. I don’t paint my nails as often as I would like due to the smell and usually want to avoid the potential chemical exposure. I still sometimes enjoy a bit of color, it just isn’t a daily thing for me. There are a lot of good 3-Free polishes available (more about that later). When possible, I am switching to 5-free. Good job Del Sol!

What Is Five Free?
Polish described as “five free” is made without five chemicals that are commonly in nail polish and sometimes considered dangerous or unhealthy. These chemicals include:
- Toluene
- Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP)
- Formaldehyde
- Formaldehyde Resin
- Camphor
The first three listed are often considered more dangerous and “Three-Free” polishes exclude them. The later two are not as widely considered dangerous, but are apparently common allergens. (One reference source: 5 Free Nail Polish from beauty.about.com)
