Life is too short for ugly shoes! Luckily, we do not have to sacrifice comfort for style. Whether you are on your feet at work, dancing or chasing small children the right shoes help make your active lifestyle more comfortable.
Ballasox proclaims they are for the “urban ballerina”. I think they are for ballerinas and non-ballerinas alike, but I believe that motto reflects their shoes are stylish enough for a variety of occasions yet comfortable enough to dance in.
Ballasox sent a pair of their red Monica Ballet Flats for review. They are so comfortable and soft that I have worn them every change I get! I am excited to share Ballasox with you.

My Experience Wearing Ballasox Monica:
I found my Ballasox shoes fit true to size. At first they felt a little tight at the tips of my toes and I thought I might need to exchange them. I consistently wear a European 37 in shoes (my American shoe sized varies from 5.5 – 7). I thought the next size up would be too large and that the very soft glove-like leather would stretch. I was right. The leather is as soft as a glove and the shoes fit me like a glove when I chose my usual size. Ballasox are as comfortable as slippers.
The Monica has a fun multi-color design. Every time I wear these, someone compliments me on the color combination and asks about these shoes. They feature red uppers, navy blue soles and coral and nude details.
I also love the classic ballet flat style. These shoes can be worn with dresses, shorts, capri pants (ala Audrey Hepburn!) and just about anything.
The following is Ballasox’s description of their own company, I am using it as it does a great job of describing their approach and style:
“Ballasox started out with a specially designed foldable Ballet Flat that has an innovative spandex lining that encases the foot like a sock. Partly because of their variations on color and prints and partly because of this remarkable lining, popularity of the Ballasox Ballerina Flat exploded in their native Brazil (Click here to check out the Brazil site). With the addition of a matching tote bag, these Ballerina Flats quickly became not just another pair of shoes, but a collectible accessory.
The Spring 2015 season introduces sneakers, espadrilles, and sandals into the Ballasox collection. These styles also offer the comfort, versatility, and style that are associated with the Ballasox Ballet Flats.
With Ballasox, you can have a sense of freedom, style, and a ready-for-anything mindset!
Embrace your inner Urban Ballerina and find your perfect Ballasox flat today.”
