Windy day? Go fly a kite! It has been years since I have flown a kite. I grew up near the Oregon coast and think of kite flying as a beach activity. Yet, for some reason I have not flown one for ages.
I recently had the opportunity to test and review the “Get Childish” Wind Leverager Kite. I jumped at the chance as I have some coastal visits planned. I am pretty much a beginner at kite flying, I never was that good at it. I was surprised how well I could fly the Wind Leverager on my very first attempt.

I posted this picture on Instagram after my first time flying the Wind Leverager. It was a beautiful warm day with a slight breeze. I was a little worried that the kite might not fly due to lack or wind, but this kite really lives up to the name!

My Experience Flying Get Childish The Wind Leverager :
If you watched the video, you saw how smoothly this kite flies. I think it is a great kite for beginners. It is not the best kite for those who like “stunt kites”. But if you want a classic kite to fly on a relaxing morning (or afternoon) this kite is great! I really enjoy flying this kite.
I do recommend that you avoid flying your kite near trees (and absolutely avoid flying it near power lines!). As shown in the video and the above photographs, I made the mistake of flying it a little too close to a tree and the kite got stuck in a tree! Luckily it was a small tree that was easy to climb. Crisis averted! But it was a valuable reminder to be aware of your surroundings when flying a kite!
