Spring is coming! Really it is. If you like to approach Spring and Summer with a hint of a tan, self tanners are one alternative. I strongly advocate a broad spectrum sunscreen year round for health and beauty reasons. However, protecting your skin from the sun doesn’t have to mean that you can’t enjoy a faux tan.

My Experience Using Glow 2 Go Self Tanning Towelettes
I have had mixed experiences with self tanning products. My skin is fair enough that many make a dramatic difference–a little too dramatic. I occasionally achieve a nice shade, but I have a hard time avoiding streaking especially in hard to reach areas. I usually find self tanners a little messy and smelly as well. Yet I wish for a nice, light “tan” so I try every year! I have had my best luck in the past either with spray tans or gradual self tanning lotions.
I recently tried Glow 2 Go. I found these tanning towelettes less messy and easier than typical self-tanning solutions. I also liked the color one application achieved. It didn’t look too orange on my pale skin. The build is gradual. On my first application, I applied all over except my arms, neck and face. My legs ended up a slightly darker and bronzer shade than my arms. I like that it is a slow building tanning solution because I find it easier to minimize streaks.
Any downside? Yes, for me there was. I missed a small places. These towelettes are mess-free, but I couldn’t always tell if enough was applied. I think this would even out with a second or third application as typical for gradual self tanners. The instructions say to use one towelette for half your body. I think I would use three, just to get better coverage–but that may be my technique. I like these small towelettes as they are easy to handle and allow you to use just what you need. (Yes you can use just what you need with a bottle or spray tanner as well, this is in comparison to larger tanning towels.)
I recommend Glow2Go tanning towelettes for anyone who wants a mess-free, easier way to create a gradual tan. All self tanning solutions vary by your individual body chemistry and your own color preferences. I like the color it creates on my fair skin, I do think people who want a deep tan may need two-three applications over a few days to reach their desired hue.
