Who Says Flip Flops Can’t Be Glam? #GoldPigeonShoes Flip Flop Review

During the Summer, a nice pair of flip-flops is essential! Well, almost essential.

I am not really a flip-flop person. I always have a pair on hand to wear in the showers at the gym, at the public swimming pool or at the beach. But more often than not, I find flip-flops uncomfortable. I usually would rather be barefoot or wearing more structured shoes. However, sometimes I just need easy on, easy off waterproof shoes to protect my feet and prevent slipping on wet surfaces.

Despite my feelings about flip-flops,  I really like these Golden Pigeon Flip Flips! 

The sole and heel are just enough to offer nice support, the toe thong has no ridges and feels smooth between my toes and the soles hug my feet.  It doesn’t hurt that my pair features a cute pink color with a bright floral design. The sparking crystals are a fun touch too! So far, these are my favorite waterproof flip-flop sandals. I look forward to rocking these at the gym, pool and beach this Summer!

My Experience Wearing Gold Pigeon Shoes:

As mentioned, these are among the most comfortable flip-flops I have worn. I have worn them frequently over the past few weeks. As you can see in the second top picture, the sole is a little dirty from weeks of wear. The beautiful floral design provides just enough traction for moderately slippery surfaces. This is a must when wearing them pool side!

I was initially concerned that these shoes would look a little too busy and “childish”. However, I just love all the design details. There is a little 3-dimensional butterfly motif in the canter. Both the soles and insoles feature an elaborate floral and butterfly design. The in sole design massages my feet. They feel a little like the massage nibs some sandals feature. After a while they do irritate my feet (as I discovered when wearing these sandals on a 1.5 mile walk), but initially they feel wonderful.
