Oral hygiene is important to “feeling fit”. Most dentists say that flossing is one of the most important things you can do to ensure healthy teeth and gums. Not only does flossing remove at least 40% of the harmful bacteria in our mouths, it is also believed to improve heart and whole body health by reducing inflamation!

Flossing twice a day, as recommended can be time consuming. I intend to, but it is one of those things that I falter on. I have found that I will use an oral irrigator twice a day as it is so easy to fit into a routine.
From my research, it sounds like an oral irrigator or Waterpik can help immensely. However, they are not quite as effective as flossing for sticky plaque.
My current plan is to floss several times a week and use the Oral Irrigator daily (in addition to brushing twice a day, professional cleanings annually, and oil pulling when I remember). I have received good feedback from my dental hygienist in the past from a similar routine.
My Experience Using the Oral Irrigator:
I was already using a Waterpik when I received the Oral Irrigator. My Waterpik needed to retire, so I haven’t used it for a couple months. I was so excited when Greenco offered their Oral Irrigator for review.
I was impressed with the sleek, compact appearance and ergonomic design. It just feels nice in my hands. More importantly it is easier than flossing and makes my teeth feel very clean.
The only issue I have is that the water filling opening is challenging to fill because it is very small (much smaller than my old Waterpik). This issue is easily worked around. I made a short video review highlighting my impressions of the Oral Irrigator…

About the Oral Irrigator (In Their Own Words)…
Here is a product description for the Oral Irrigator from Greenco. I noticed the description mentioned a funnel for filling. I did not see one in my box, but I wished for one due to the smaller sized refill opening. Hopefully, mine was just missing. The product is even better if it is easier to refill.
I have not verified any claims, I prefer to share a description submitted by the company as it is very informative even if it is somewhat biased…
“Floss and Rinse In One Motion — professional oral irrigator and water flosser brings next-generation oral care into your own home.
To easily and effectively clean between teeth and around braces, implants and bridgework, this rechargeable device pushes water from its large reservoir through the tiny opening of the included nozzle heads.
This causes the water to form a thin, strong stream that powers through food remnants and other dirt, helping you fight plaque and the gum disease gingivitis.
Choose a Mode to Your Taste Press a button to switch between three irrigating modes. Use the Normal mode for general tooth and gum cleaning, the Soft mode for gentler cleaning of sensitive gums or fresh dental work, and the Pulse mode for cleaning and massaging of the gums.
Two interchangeable, color-coded nozzles are included, making a single irrigator suited for multiple users. These nozzles rotate 360° and feature a slightly tilted head to help you reach places that a toothbrush and regular floss simply cannot access.
Clean mouth. Cool machine. Regular use of the Greenco Oral Irrigator promotes a cleaner mouth, prevents bad breath, and saves gums from abrasive flossing.
It is constructed of high-quality, BPA-free plastic, which has been approved by the FDA as safe for oral use. To make it even easier and more convenient, you’ll find a miniature funnel included for spill-free refilling, as well as a watertight rubber plug to protect the charging pins from water and damage. Remove it and insert the included wall charger far a rapid charge of the built-in batteries.”
