Part of a fit lifestyle is saving money where you can to allow yourself to splurge on good quality foods or that special outfit that shows off your hard work. You will not hear about any “get rich quick” schemes from me, simply because I don’t know of any. Also, I tend to be too skeptical to try them. Recently, I have discovered ways to earn a little here and there for activities I already do. (In case you missed my previous post on how my Fitbit paid for itself: Get Rewarded For Your Activity: A Round-Up of Five Activity Incentive Programs )
Another way that I have been able to earn a little money to save towards rewards for myself is by using search sites that reward me for making searches. I admit, I have not earned very much this way, but it really depends on your searches. A little here and there adds up, bit by bit.
For those who don’t know, Qmee is a free search, cash-reward browser app that can be installed easily into any major browser. Qmee rewards you with actual cash micropayments, for clicking on sponsored results. Essentially anytime you do a search using a browser such as Google or Yahoo, if Qmee has relevant results to your search, the app pulls up these results and they will appear on your screen in addition to the results you would normally see.

Each click on a Qmee search result that matches what you’re looking for will earn you between 4 and 14 cents typically and the payments are made in actual currency to your PayPal account. My searches typically yield a 4 or 5 cent result. According to Qmee, a typical user will collect about $5 per month. That’s $60 of free money per year just for doing what you usually do!
We all know how a little extra change here and there can add up, and why not take what’s yours if you’re going to be searching anyway? In addition to the cash you collect through searching, Qmee will reward you with $1 in your piggy bank for every referral you send when that person becomes a Qmee user.
