I am excited to share my first Influenster Vox Box the #ModaVoxBox. For those who don’t know the Vox Box is a free sample box that is sent out to social media “influencers” to sample and share. I recorded an “unboxing” and my first impressions of the products. This is my first attempt at a VLOG so please forgive my lack of technical skill.
The #ModaVoxBox Box Includes:
Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara
#RockinIt #Rimmel
Color: Extreme Black
The first thing that stood out to me is the curved brush. I was initially skeptical of the brush, but I feel the curved brush catches my lashes nicely. I like this mascara and will consider purchasing it in the future. I generally prefer waterproof mascara so I will need to look at whether Rimmel offers a waterproof version. It seems to go on smoothly and I haven’t had any issue with clumping yet.
According to Rimmel’s description: “Rimmel’s first broken heart-shaped brush creates a fringe of big, curvy, rockin’ lashes. This cleverly-shaped applicator twists and curves to hug the lash line; the thin tip grabs hard-to-reach inner lashes, while the amplified base pulses lashes with incredible volume and curve. Lashes are plumped and lifted in one clean stroke. No clumps.”
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick
#MoistureRenew
Color: Berry Rose
I love this lipstick. I was a little surprised as I am generally a lipstick snob. The color is a very good match for one of my favorite cheek stains (Benefit Benetint). I also like a good red lipstick, but sometimes red clashes with my clothing. This Berry Rose is a good, pink based alternative when I need a cool toned, strong color that is not red. I also like that the lipstick feels light and moisturizing. I will definitely look at other shades of Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick.
Product Description: “Moisturizing Lipstick Smoother Lips, Better Colour This moisture-infused lip essential reduces lip dryness by up to 65% for smoother lips and better colour. Developed with SPF 18 and a cutting edge Self Adapting Moisture Complex that features Hylaronic Acid, Collagen and Vitamins A, C and E to nourish lips, leaving them with a smoother surface for better colour application and wear. 24 creamy, moisturizing shades come richly wrapped in an elegant metallic purple case.”
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner
#MoistureRenew
Color: Clear
I received this in “clear” meaning it has not color. I was excited to see this as I previously had used a clear lip liner and ran out. I find clear lip liner is versatile as it goes with any color and it helps prevent lipstick bleeding outside the lip line. I also like it for a defined but slightly less made up look. This and the lipstick are probably my favorite items from the Vox Box.
Puffs SoftPack
#PassthePuffs
I don’t usually buy facial tissues. I was fortunate that these came in time for cold and flu season. I have been fortunate (touching wood) and have not caught a cold yet, but I have shared these with others. And they are handy for chick flick night.
Product Description: “With Puffs SoftPack, now you can have the Puffs you love wherever you need them most. Puffs SoftPack is made with a Silky Soft package that allows you to have full-size tissues on hand where you couldn’t before—the medicine cabinet, in bed to cuddle with, or in the car! It contains tissues that are dermatologist tested to be gentle on skin and Air-Fluffed for a more cushiony feel. Which means Puffs SoftPack tissues can stand up to your basic sniffles or makeup touch-ups while still feeling good against your face’s delicate skin. Stock one in every room of the house and beyond because you never know when an everyday tissue issue might arise! Face Every Day With Puffs Softness—and Put Your Best Face Forward—with Puffs SoftPack facial tissues. Everyday softness for your face’s everyday needs.”
Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer
#1WeekToGorgeous
This is a pretty basic hand lotion. It moisturizes well. The thing is, I don’t usually care for hand lotions. They typically have a scent I don’t care for and anything I touch or eat receives that smell. I prefer unscented moisturizers (or plain shea or coconut butter) for my hands. It is effective and reasonably priced though.
Product Description: “Jergens Moisturizers are designed to make a beautiful difference for your skin – a difference you can actually see, feel and experience. Only our formulas are made with an illuminating HYDRALUCENCE blend. Restore your skin’s deep luminosity to reveal skin that’s never looked so beautiful.”
Resource Natural Spring Water
#refreshwithresource
I don’t usually drink bottled water as I feel the packaging is wasteful. I will occasionally if I am thirsty and there is no other option. This water did taste nice and refreshing. I probably won’t purchase this product, but it is a nice bottled water.
Product Description: Natural Spring Water. Natural Electrolytes For Taste. Electrolytenment Starts Here. With crisp, clean, natural sustainably sourced, 100% spring water. With 100% natural electrolytes. With a nourished body, a healthy mind and a sustained soul. This bottle made with 50% recycled plastic. Proof Recycling Works. 0 calories per bottle.
Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask
#HairFood
This is a fruity apricot scented deep conditioning hair mask. I have used it a couple times and it seems effective as my hair does feel soft afterwards. I would consider purchasing this in the future for myself or for a friend.
Product Description: “As honey coats to protect and apricot oil hydrates for softness, the Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask contains essences of these ingredients, conditioning and coating each strand to help repair and smooth the protective outer layer. The formula helps provides rich moisture protection from everyday styling for smooth, manageable hair while adding softness, smoothness and radiant shine.”
Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa
#SwissMissSimplyCocoa
I enjoy hot chocolate. Lately, I make Mexican hot chocolate as a treat. It is nice to be able to drink hot chocolate without melting chunks of chocolate. I actually liked my sample of Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa. Many packaged mixes taste too sweet for my taste, this wasn’t too bad. It has five ingredients, while I would prefer a little less sugar, I like the simplicity of it.
Product Description: “Swiss Miss’ new Simply Cocoa line is the perfect drink to warm up your winter. Available in milk and dark chocolate, Simply Cocoa has just five ingredients — Sugar, Cocoa, Nonfat Milk, Salt and Natural Flavor. No artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. Be sure to use hot milk when preparing Simply Cocoa for an indulgent, silky-smooth cocoa that is simply delicious.”
