I have been thinking about my routine most specifically my morning coffee. I also enjoy tea and the occasional cocoa, unfortunately this isn’t always great because I also like to moderate my caffeine intake. I have recently been on a Matcha green tea kick, but I still need my morning coffee. I even went as far to drink half-cafe so I can have my coffee and tea too.
The Ultimate Coffee Date made me think about my coffee ritual. I am not sure why, but there is just something about enjoying a nice cup with a friend. Thank you to the hosts:
Perhaps morning coffee is a bit like having coffee with a friend–myself. I like to sip coffee while I preview my plans for the day, read, check my email or write to friends who live far away (by “write” I usually mean e-mail).
In recent weeks, I’ve taken it to a new level (for me) and have been grinding the beans and using my new Moka pot to brew the coffee and topping it with frothed almond milk. Enough about the coffee…
If we were having coffee I’d start by asking you how you take your coffee and also how you are feeling. It is always good to take a moment to catch up with friends.
If we were having coffee I’d ask you about your morning ritual? Is there anything you do most mornings that help you focus before the chaos of the day sets in?
If we were having coffee I’d let you know that I am going Beer tasting today. I like to support local businesses when I can and it is always fun to spend an afternoon with a group of friends. I must admit, I am not personally a big beer fan. Hopefully this tasting may change that. Other than coffee, I am more into sweet tastes rather than bitter. It will still be a nice afternoon.
If we were having coffee I’d let you know… I have a lot of fun posts planned for this spring including a few great giveaways. In addition to the Meal Enders Signaling lozenge giveaway currently running, I have the opportunity to host giveaways for a beautiful yoga mat/towel hybrid and for a 3 pack of delicious Yummy Yammy Sweet Potato Salsas. One of the fun things about reviewing products and hosting giveaways is that I learn of unique products I had never heard of. Yummy Yammy is one of those unique finds. It is tasty, nutritious and I can pronounce every ingredient listed on the label. These giveaways will start 3/10 and 3/16. (All giveaways are under the tab “Current giveaways” at the top of the page!)
If we were having coffee I’d let you know that I have also been thinking about healing. I have a would that is being prepared for minor surgery. Actually the would was created by the doctor to help heal for the surgery. Yesterday the wound care specialist reminded me to eat quality protein with every meal, to get enough sleep and to drink enough floods. All of those things are so important for the day-to-day healing we do every day on life’s journey!
I look forward to seeing you again at next month’s Ultimate Coffee Date!
