Getting a good night sleep is hard! While few things are more natural than sleeping when tired, modern life gets in the way.  For me, the right pillow is essential. My Experience Using “The Original Bamboo Pillow”:

First the bad… Right away, I was struck with the strong chemical smell. Having a chemist in the family, I get scolded for casually referring to things as “chemical”, but I don’t really know any other way to describe this smell. It is that over-powering smell a lot of new items have. I foolishly tried to sleep with it and woke up with a nasty headache and my scalp and neck felt itchy!  I immediately put it in the extra room and returned to my old pillow.

Don’t do what I did! I suggest that you remove the cover and wash it before using it. And let the pillow air out. I let mine air a few days. Then it was good to go.

Now the good, once the smell was gone it is a really nice pillow! I have reoccurring neck and shoulder injuries so sometimes when I sleep wrong I wake up in intense pain. I can avoid this with an elaborate configuration of pillows to support my head. This is why I was so interested in a memory foam pillow. As it turns out the pillow just forms the right configuration to support my head. Sleep has been much less painful.

I find the pillow to have just the right level of firmness for me. I like a little give in a pillow. I am able to fluff it up nicely.

Conclusion, once the “chemical scent” is gone, this is  a very nice, comfortable pillow that can promote healthy alignment.
