The Paisley Hot Yoga Towel from Yoga Design Lab will give you the best dressed yoga mat in the studio! One of my new years resolutions is to return to a more consistent yoga and relaxation practice. While no equipment is necessary for my goal, anything that makes it even more convenient and pleasant helps.
Yoga Design Lab sent this yoga towel to me in exchange for a review. Because I recently had good experiences with another yoga towel –I enthusiastically agreed to try this towel and post my opinion.
I recently learned the value of a good yoga towel. I like to use one to protect my mat and keep it clean. I also like using a yoga towel when I use the mats at my gym or a yoga studio as sometimes they have a funny smell. So I like having a clean barrier between me and the mat. If I want to travel light, I find it easier to carry a yoga towel than to carry my yoga mat.
This Paisley Hot Yoga Towel from Yoga Design lab is beautiful to behold. The colors are a coordinating mix of grays and lavender. According to Yoga Design Lab, the mat is printed with “water based, eco-friendly inks.” I find the pattern pleasantly distracting to look at while in plank or downward dog position. The simple pleasures! Perhaps I should be more focused on my experience, but I admit a little distraction during an extended plank is always welcome!
In addition to protecting my yoga mat, the microfiber feels nice to the skin. I find it makes extended relaxation poses and stretches even more pleasant than they would be if I were directly on the rubber mat.
This is my second yoga towel. If you already have one, I recommend two or three as you always have a spare when the other is in the laundry. (Oh, did I not mention that you can machine wash and dry these?)
I accidentally discovered another use. I have a very comfortable but ugly reclining chair that a neighbor gave me when she moved. This towel is just the right size for a partial “slip cover” and makes it look at little more attractive.
Due to the beautiful design and the practical benefits, I recommend this for anyone who does yoga, pilates, barre or other exercises using a mat.
