Review: Adovia Sulfur Soap

September 15, 2014 By Sam Sly Leave a Comment

Adovia Sulfur Soap is a gentle, natural face and body soap containing sulfur. Adovia claims Sulfur has antiseptic, anti-fungal and antibacterial properties. Adovia’s soap also contains other popular, natural ingredients including Aloe and olive oil (complete ingredient list to follow).  I recently received a free bar of the Adovia Sulfur Soap in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. After personally using this soap daily for the past week, I found it very gentle and it seems effective.

A 4.4 ounce bar of Adovia Sulfur Soap

Features & Benefits (according to Adovia):

  • Enriched with minerals and sulfur from the Dead Sea.
  • Your skin’s natural moisture levels are balanced and optimized with Olive Oil, Dead Sea minerals and Aloe Vera extract.
  • Sulfur has antiseptic, anti-fungal and antibacterial properties
  • This soap thoroughly cleanses your face and body and leaves your skin gentle and smooth.
  • Has a 3% sulfur content.
  • 4.4 ounces (125 Grams)
  • Was not tested on animals
  • Therapeutic skin treatment. great for Eczema, Psoriasis and other Skin Ailments

Complete Ingredient List:

80% Palm/ 20% Palm Kernel oil, Dead Sea Salts Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium, Deionized Water (Aqua), Sulphur, Olive Oil, Aloe Vera, Sodium Chloride, Natural extract (fragrance), Dead Sea Black Mud (Silt)

My Experience Using Aldovia’s Sulfur Soap:

I have been using Adovia’s Sulfur Soap on my face and body during my morning shower each day for over a week. This soap is very gentle on my sometimes-sensitive skin. Many soaps dry out my skin, but not Adovia. My skin has remained soft despite daily use–it is one of the few soaps I would use on my face. The soap seems very mild. The scent is also very subtle–this pleasantly surprised me since it contains sulfur.

I don’t have a serious acne problem, though I do experience occasional hormonal breakouts. While I find it effective for my breakouts, I am not qualified to comment on how effective it is for chronic acne. When I started using Adovia’s Sulfur Soap, I had a several small, but persistent pimples on my face and back. They have significantly decreased in size quicker than usual after using this soap.
