Spice Up Your Life With Salted Cooking School

Disclosure: Feeling Fit received a complimentary product to make this review possible. Thank you!

Salted Online Cooking School is almost like having master chefs visit your kitchen to teach you to cook — on your schedule!

I love cookbooks, but sometimes the printed page cannot clearly demonstrate new cooking techniques. Cooking programs are fantastic, but they are not always on at the moment I want to learn a new technique. Salted offers the best of both worlds.

Expert chefs from throughout the US provide excellent instruction, recipes, tips and kitchen hacks. Salted is a new program, but so rich in content. You may find a tutorial or recipe of interest. Salted will satisfy whether you want to learn mixology, vegan Mexican food, Italian comfort food or how to make a classic sauce.

Salted Cooking School Review

My Experience Using Salted Cooking School:

Learning to cook well makes “feeling fit” easier. Salted is a fabulous one-stop-shop whether you want to refine your healthy cooking techniques or learn a decadent recipe for a special occasion.

Salted Cooking School is the complete package. It offers full cooking classes, demonstrations of specific skills, recipes, chef profiles and a chef hotline.

Yes! A chef hotline! Users may submit specific cooking questions through the Chef hotline. According to salted members may see an answer within 30 minutes and non-members within 48 hours (that is assuming you submit the question within their posted hours).

Salted Cooking School
Salted offers complete cooking courses as well as specific recipes and skill tutorials.

I especially appreciate the ability to watch tutorials demonstrating cooking skills. All the tutorials I previewed were focused and to-the-point. The instruction was clearly shown and visible in a well-lit kitchen environment. The instructors are skillful and articulate chefs. Salted offers some of the best online cooking instruction I have experienced.

Salted Chefs
Salted features instruction from dozens of chefs, here are just a few examples.

I like to share the pros and cons of any product or service. For the most part, I am impressed with Salted. The site is beautiful and easy to navigate. The instruction is fantastic. And there is an incredible range of cuisines, techniques and styles available ranging from essentials to advanced professional techniques.

Salted Tutorials
This screenshot shows a few lessons in a Salted course.

There are not many cons that I noticed, but I did see a few. Salted is in Beta, so it is understandable that I experienced a few minor issues getting started. However, their customer service was quick to respond and to fix the issue. Glitches happen with new programs, but it is important that the customer service and technical support step up. Salted lives up to my expectations of good service.

Salted Sauce Course
Salted offers a mix of video demonstration and written instruction.

The production quality varied a little from chef to chef and video to video. All were pretty decent and much better than my YouTube videos. In some videos, the sound quality was slightly lacking yet others had very high production values. To me, this is a minor issue that I am sure will improve as Salted grows.

Overall, this is the most comprehensive, high quality online cooking instruction I have experienced so far.

Salted Chef Hotline
Salted also features a Chef Hotline to answer your cooking questions!
