My goal with Feeling Fit, Bit By Bit is to blog about feeling fit and enjoying life. I aspire to live and to promote an active lifestyle of healthy moderation that includes a few indulgences along the way.
Bit By Bit refers to the ongoing journey. Every day I seek balance and sustainable healthy choices. In the past, I have been known to try to change everything overnight. This pattern of extremes leads to “failure” and disappointment.
The Feeling Fit lifestyle is one that includes good food, lots of physical activity, good sleep, some relaxation and quality time with friends and family. I also feel my fittest mentally when engaged in creative or fulfilling work. The brain requires activity and challenge to stay fit too!
I also strive to keep Feeling Fit free of dogma and healthy or body shaming. There is nothing wrong with looking our best, but I hope it is in the spirit of self-love. A “fit” lifestyle looks different on different people. If we were all the same life would be so boring!
Now a little about me…
My Favorite Thing About Blogging: Probably the connections I am making with positive women and men throughout the world. Like most things in life, it is all about the relationships.
Where I See Feeling Fit Going in 2016:
- I hope my community will grow in numbers and in participation.
- I plan to include more recipes and yummy food content
- More fitness content
- More natural beauty and relaxation DIY recipes
- More wearable activity tracker tutorials and tips
- I plan to continue featuring reviews, but fewer to allow time for more content
- I plan to write guest posts for other blogs and publications.
My Favorite Ways to “Feel Fit”: I love to dance, hula hoop, walk, swim, hike, and do yoga. My fitness preferences are eclectic. I enjoy Pilates, barre, kettlebells, bodyweight circuits, and trying new activities. I find lifting weights very meditative and satisfying. However, I am not the best at going to the gym and tend to return to bodyweight based workouts that I can do at home.
