Healthy oils are not just for cooking or to put in your salad. They contain high levels of antioxidant vitamins that can soften, hydrate, and protect your skin and nails. Here are six natural oils that can make your skin feel soft and smooth. Please remember, I am not a medical professional, any product so the following is not medical or professional advice. I find that using the pure oils can be an effective and less expensive option than using prepared skin and hair care products.

Argan Oil

Argan Oil
Argan oil comes from nuts of a tree found in southwestern Morocco. They are harvested by the Berber community, roasted and pressed to extract the oil. It contains high levels of vitamin E and has 80% unsaturated fatty acids making it more resistant to oxidation. Argan Oil is very popular at the moment. And no wonder! It is easily absorbed it is. I have very fine hair and argan oil is one of the few oils that I can use as a leave-in conditioner. Argan Oil Moroccan Organic Pure 2 fl oz Liquid – $10.99, 3.95 shipping – Available at Piping Rock

Avocado Oil

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Nutiva - Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 54 oz
Coconut oil is a rich, easily absorbed moisturizer. I use it both for cooking and for cosmetic use. Many people have good success wearing it in the hair as a leave-in conditioner, that is difficult to pull off with my fine hair but it does make a good deep conditioning treatment for someone with my hair type. I typically use it as a moisturizing makeup remover. Nutiva – Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 54 oz – $24.72, See Site shipping – Available at LuckyVitamin.com
